Matthew Matt James, born on December 5, 1991, in North Carolina. The child of Manny James along with Patty James of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian as was his father Nigerian. In 2010, James graduated from Sanderson High School. Then James attended Wake Forest University in order to obtain a Bachelor's of Sciences in Economics. James gained fame when his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality TV celebrity. In 2020, he was chosen as the bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25, becoming The first African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James seemed to be the perfect choice to the job because He is attractive, well-rounded and tall and has a sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was selected to be his partner for the entire season. In season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, he competed with the legendary dancer Arnold. James and Arnold placed 12th in the show.
