Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land leading roles in several television dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was associated with numerous important projects both locally and internationally. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
